A Timberland employee was killed Sunday at the Stratham, N.H. brand’s headquarters. Authorities identified the victim as Catherine Heppner, who worked as the director of marketing for the Timberland PRO line.
Local news has reported that police arrested Robert Pavao of Maine and charged him with two counts of second-degree murder in the stabbing death. Per reports, Pavao had been employed by Securitas, which provided security for Timberland and Lindt, which share an industrial park.
“This past Sunday, we lost a beloved member of the Timberland community, Cassie Heppner, to a senseless act of violence. A suspect is in custody, and we are cooperating fully with authorities in their investigation,” Timberland spokeswoman Leslie Grundy said in a statement. “Cassie was truly one-of-a-kind, and her passing leaves a void that will never be filled. We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones, and ask that you please respect the family’s request for privacy during this difficult time.”
“We are devastated and stunned by the tragic loss of our beloved Cassie,” a spokesperson for the Heppner family said in a statement. “She was the energetic light of our family, with an infectious spirit that touched anyone in her presence. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and colleague. We will cherish her forever. We ask that you respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.”
