The Running Industry Association (RIA) announced they will host its second annual RIA KICK Show this spring. The show will be held May 11-14, and will once again take place at the Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver.
The inaugural members-only show in June 2019 was attended by 26 invited brands and 70 brick-and-mortar specialty run retailers from across the country. The RIA says that the working show format received positive reviews, as indicated by a post-show survey. Based on feedback from attendees, the 2020 show will aim to “amplify the show’s ROI,” said RIA executive director Terry Schalow.
“We will make two key improvements,” said Schalow. “Number one: Creating a higher level of buying efficiency for retailers via pre-show order planning; and number two: Allowing attendees to customize their show experience through category-focused buying tracks and flexible appointment scheduling.”
The 2020 show, known as KICK 2.0, will feature footwear, apparel and accessory brands. As part of the show’s format, the brands will give full-length presentations to retailer buyers over the course of two and a half days. More show details will be released in early 2020.
